Crayon Software Experts India Signs New Multi-Year Strategic Collaboration Agreement with Amazon Web Services
MUMBAI: Crayon Software Experts India (Crayon), a global leader in digital transformation services and an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Select Tier Services Partner, today announced that it signed a new multi-year Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with AWS, the world's most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud. The SCA will support customers in India, especially small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). The collaboration will help organizations of all sizes across industries, including retail, banking and finance, manufacturing, and telecommunications, adopt cloud computing to drive business growth and deepen industry innovation.

The SCA signing took place at a launch event in Mumbai with Vikas Bhonsle, CEO at Crayon Software Experts India; Ajay Kaul, Head of State, Local Government & Distribution for India at AWS; and Raghavendra Balasubramanian, Head of Partner & Alliances at AWS, along with key members from both companies in attendance.

The SCA aims to accelerate Crayon’s go-to-market proposition for enterprises, startups, SMBs, independent software vendors, and Crayon’s technology partners as they adopt cloud services. With AWS, Crayon will develop and offer solutions and services for migration and modernization of enterprise workloads like SAP, generating insights from data, automating processes by leveraging AWS’s machine learning capabilities.

Specifically, Crayon will further expand its automation and optimization capabilities, including IT portfolio assessment and architecture review, security review and strategy development, application migration planning, TCO analysis, application integration, deployment, migrations toolsets, and ongoing operations. Scaling its automation and optimization capabilities will help Crayon grow business opportunities in cloud efficiency, data maturity assessments, finance and operations, and governance.

Crayon will also build and accelerate its Managed Services Provider (MSP) practice with AWS by providing customers services to build, migrate, manage, operate, and optimize their AWS environments and infrastructure through a team of more than 20 managed services engineers. AWS and/or its affiliates will provide technical expertise and training to support Crayon’s next-generation MSP practice.

Crayon will develop solution accelerators – repeatable business assets to deliver value-added solutions for customers more efficiently – built on AWS, for commercial and public sector customers. Crayon will qualify these solution accelerators through the AWS Foundational Technical Review, guidelines for customers to reduce risks around security, reliability, and operational excellence, as defined by the AWS Well-Architected Framework. Crayon will make the solution accelerators available on the AWS Marketplace, a curated digital catalog that customers can use to find, buy, deploy, and manage third-party software, data, and services to build solutions and run their businesses.

As part of this strategic agreement, both Crayon and AWS will provide comprehensive consulting and technology services to support partners and customers migrating to AWS. Crayon will leverage the AWS Migration Acceleration Program, a comprehensive and proven cloud migration program based upon AWS’s experience on migrating thousands of enterprise customers to the cloud, to accelerate cloud transformation.

According to a recent Gallup study commissioned by AWS, workers in India who use advanced digital skills, including cloud architecture and software development, contribute an estimated US$507.9 billion (₹10.9 trillion) to India’s annual gross domestic product (GDP). Almost nine in ten (88%) employers in India say it is challenging to find people with the right digital skills they need. To help close the digital skills gap in India, Crayon’s consultants, engineers, architects and developers will also receive digital skills training from AWS. In the next four years, Crayon will aim to train more than 300 employees to be equipped with the latest cloud skills.

“We are happy to strengthen our relationship with AWS by signing a strategic collaboration agreement. With this agreement, our partner and customer community will benefit from the joint support and expertise from our dedicated teams as more organizations in India adopt the cloud. AWS’s customer-centric approach aligns with Crayon’s focus and dedication to providing only the best cloud services to its partners and customers,” said Vikas Bhonsle, CEO at Crayon Software Experts India.

“Signing a strategic agreement with AWS represents a new phase for Crayon’s growth, which will accelerate our ability to deliver innovation to our customers and help them leverage the transformative power of the cloud. The strategic collaboration agreement underscores the commitment of Crayon and AWS to unlock greater business value for customers across industries,” said Abhay Joshi, Director – Product Strategy at Crayon Software Experts India.

Vaishali Kasture, Director of AWS India and South Asia at Amazon Web Services India Pvt. Ltd said, “The strategic agreement between AWS and Crayon is a significant milestone and will help organizations across India harness the power of cloud computing and increase business value. We are excited about this next stage of growth as we work together to deliver solutions that are focused on the needs of our customers. This collaboration highlights our shared commitment to enhance client business objectives across industries, and foster cloud adoption to power India's digital transformation.”
