Ms. Roma Priya, Founder of Burgeon

"As the vaccination drive has begun in most of the cities, there is a positive sentiment in the market. There is a consistent increase in the inflow of funds in the startup sector. Most of the funding rounds and term sheets are closing in time.

Currently, there is an encouraging wave in the sectors which received a push due to the pandemic. Sectors like EdTech, MedTech, SaaS, online gaming and content, e-commerce, e-retail, etc. have become the best bet for a lot of investors. Some new-age ventures in these sectors are receiving funds as early as the pre-launch stage.

Another key thing to notice is that many investors are putting faith in second-time entrepreneurs given that they come with more experience and survival skills. There are a lot of new investors in the market who are pumping money into early-stage fundings raised by these entrepreneurs.

We have facilitated 30 plus transactions within the first quarter of this year, between the bracket of seed funding to series B."
