Launched 50 special helpline numbers to ensure safety

Kochi, April 18, 2024: Bharti Airtel , one of India’s leading telecommunications service providers, joins hands with Kerala police to ensure public safety and security for the upcoming Thrissur Pooram, one of the biggest annual festival held in Thrissur every year.

As part of the collaboration, Airtel has provided 50 dedicated helpline numbers that will be prominently displayed on top of all the police barricades, strategically positioned throughout the festival grounds.  These dedicated helpline numbers will allow the public to easily reach out to the police in case of emergencies or require assistance during the crowded festivities. Thrissur Pooram is a spectacular temple festival held in Thrissur, Kerala, and is starting on April 19 this year. The festival is known for its vibrant processions of decorated elephants, energetic performances by percussion ensembles, and colorful fireworks displays. It attracts thousands of visitors from across India and the world.

Last month Airtel announced its network enhancement project was undertaken across 25 towns and 210 villages covering 11 lakh population base in Thrissur district. Airtel has doubled down on its commitment to the state and has invested additional capex to enhance its network connectivity for seamless experience on 4G, 5G, Broadband and Fiber.
