Cochin Shipyard donates Rs. 10 Crore to the Flood Relief Fund

Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) donated Rs.10 Crore for the relief and recovery of flood-hit Kerala. Madhu S Nair, Chairman and Managing Director handed over the cheque to PinarayiVijayan, Chief Minister of Kerala at the Government Secretariat, Thiruvanthapuram. He also handed over an additional amount of Rs 37.38 lakh which is the contribution of the employees of CSL.

 

“As a responsible corporate citizen, CSL wants to stand with the people of Kerala during the hour of need, when they have immensely suffered and is still suffering,because of the devastating floods.CSL has grown over the years to its present position operating out of our yard in Kerala. We have received great support from the Government and strong goodwill from the people of the State and it is our duty to support the Government in their initiatives towards relief, rehabilitation and rebuild activities in the state.” said CMD, CSL. 

 

Besides, CSL employeeshad participated fully in the rescue operations in the affected areas and was involved in the relief activities by supplying of foods to the camps at Paravoor town and Kuttanad areas which were amongst the worst affected, during the floods.
