Brightcom Group reduces Promoters Pledge, Acquisition Mode

Brightcom Group has reduced its Promoters Pledge Shares from 33% to 18%. It has also drawn ambitious plans to acquire few companies.


The Promoters Pledge Reduction was expected ever since the company had become Zero Debt in April this year.


The Company is now appears to be moving on a aggressive path.


Towards this end, it has recently signed a Letter Of Intent (LOI) to acquire a Digital Advertising company in order to  strengthen its own presence in the global Ad-tech space.


The target company employs 1000+ employees across their offices in India and US and The works with a number of reputed multinational companies.


The Brightcom Group has increased its publisher strength from 10000 publisher to 47000 publishers in just two years. Brightcom’s ads.txtis currently implemented on more than 47000 websites. The Direct accounts stands at 89704.  The company has a major market share of 4.5% and a reseller account of 10098.


The company has reported a net profit of Rs 483 crore on a revenue of Rs 2855 crore for the full year ended March 2021. A net profit of Rs 140 crore was registered on a revneu of Rs 699 crore in the fourth quarter 2021. A Bonus issue of shares was also declared in the ratio of 1:4 i.e one bonus share will be given for every four held by the existing share holders.
